Individual charged with DUI after witness observed Client get out of driver’s door with an alcohol drink in hand after car crashed into culvert. Officer testified individual had strong odor of alcohol, was completely belligerent, and could not perform field sobriety tests at all without falling.

Spouse of City Counsel member arrested for aggravated assault after several witnesses reported the spouse tried to run over other city counsel member after city counsel meeting.

Outcome:

Our investigation revealed that no crime occurred. Our findings were presented to the State Attorney’s Office and all charges were dropped.

Case:

Student arrested for Lewd and Lascivious Battery.

Outcome:

Our investigation revealed that the minor misrepresented her age and was the aggressor. After the results of our investigation were presented to the State Attorney’s Office, the individual was charged with child abuse. After further investigation and negotiation the charge was eventually reduced to misdemeanor battery and the individual was sentenced to time already served.

Case:

Law student charged with Aggravated Battery that was alleged to have been witnesses by two police officers. The alleged victim had serious injuries.

Outcome:

Our investigation demonstrated that the incident could not have occurred as described by the two police officers. After the results of our investigation were presented to the State Attorney’s Office, the charges were reduced to misdemeanor Battery. The law student was sentenced to a withhold of adjudication (not a conviction) and given one day of court supervised probation.

Case:

Social worker charged with DUI after witness reported that individual’s car hit the side of a bridge several times. Law enforcement reported that the individual failed the field sobriety tests.

Outcome:

Our investigation revealed that the client was not impaired but had a physical impairment. All charges were dismissed after our investigation was presented to the State Attorney.
