as a Former Prosecutor Specialized in Criminal Defense
Legal Fees
Our legal fees vary by the type of charge, the number of charges, and by the facts and circumstances of each case. We make every effort to set reasonable fees and to work with our clients to set up a plan that will allow then to afford our services. Legal fees can only be determined after sitting down with you, reviewing the case, and determining the best course of action. The initial consultation is free. Credit cards are accepted.
After determining your expectations we will be in a better position to quote a fee. Some clients want us to try and resolve the case early by intervening with the prosecutor in the hopes of having the charges dismissed or reduced. Other clients want us to negotiate the best possible plea or obtain their entry into a pre-trial diversion program. Some cases require intensive discovery, the filing of motions, multiple court hearings and possibly a jury trial.
Some attorneys use a "one price fits all" method in setting fees. We have chosen to evaluate each unique case and determine what each client's expectations are before setting a fee. We believe that you should not pay for services that are not needed on your particular case. We make every effort to be affordable without compromising service and results. When you're charged with a criminal offense, your good reputation, and often your future are on the line. This is a time when experience matters.
